Oxford Parks and Rec Huskies Summer Camp

REGISTRATION FOR HUSKIES SUMMER CAMP IS FROM 4/5/ - 5/23/11. After May 23rd, there will be a $25 late fee charged for each child registered. NO registrations will be accepted after June 1st. Mail in registrations must be postmarked no later than June 1st.


$110 PER WEEK FOR THE FIRST CAMPER. 10% DISCOUNT FOR THE SECOND CHILD IN FAMILY AND 20% FOR THE THIRD.
Discounts apply only to members of the same family registered in Huskies only. There are no cross discounts between the Huskies and the OPR Travel camps. Swim lessons and Before Care are not subject to discounts.

$610 when registering for all six weeks

Detailed schedules will be announced at a later date. You will receive a Camp Manual in Mid June with answers to all of your questions (we hope!).

Each week has a designated theme attached to it. There will be activities related to that theme throughout the week. Here are this year's theme weeks:

Week 1 Red, White & Blue Week (show your patriotism! Wear the colors 1st day!)
Week 2 Wild Wonderful World of Animals Week (includes optional trip to Beardsley Zoo)
Week 3 Sports, Sports and More Sports Week (Races, Baseball Tournaments, Olympics, etc)
Week 4 Water Wonderland Week (includes optional trip to CoCo Key)
Week 5 Magical Mystery Week (Magic anyone?)
Week 6 End of Summer Week including Big Daddy's Nascar Racing! (can't have a camp without Big Daddy's!)

Colonial Tavern has swimming pool, paddle boating on pond, multi purpose fields, basketball, marquis covered picnic area, and great cook-outs (lunch is included on CT days)!

Posypanko Park has playground, tennis courts, basketball court, baseball/softball diamonds, picnic area.

Before Care!! You've asked for it - you got it! We will be available to receive your children starting at 7:30am. Naturally, there's an additional fee - check below for the registration form. Please be aware that this can be signed up on a week by week basis - meaning we cannot do this on a day to day basis. Also - Before Care starts at 7:30 sharp. You may not drop your child off before 7:30am.
A light breakfast is included.

SWIM LESSONS ARE ONLY FOR CHILDREN REGISTERED IN SUMMER CAMP

Swimming Lessons: $15 per week (lessons twice per week)

Multiple child discounts do NOT apply to Swim Lessons.

There will also be three (3) optional bus trips during the summer. They are not included in your camp registration and there will be an additional fee for them. Information on those trips will be in your camp manual and you can start registering your kids for them after you receive that info. All children boarding a bus for any camp trip, must also ride that bus back to its original point of departure. Sorry parents - no more picking child up from Beardsley Zoo, Danbury Mall, or wherever the trip may be. Note - these bus trips are only for children who are registered for camp.

Huskies will go to Colonial Tavern every day except Thursdays during the camp season. On Thursdays, they will go to Posypanko Park.

Please note: Week 1 is a 4 day week due to July 4th. T/W/Th at Colonial Tavern, Friday at Posy!

Lunch is provided on Colonial Tavern days. Children need to bring a lunch and water bottle on Thursdays.
An afternoon snack is provided each day.

Each child must be signed in and signed out by parent or other pre-designated guardian. Details will be included with your Summer Camp Manual after registration has closed.

Each camper receives at least one T-shirt - two T-shirts for 2 or more weeks registered.

The above changes have been made in an effort to better safeguard your children by keeping better controls on their entrances and exits. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.

Games......Sports......Crafts.......Special days like OPR Olympics, Snoe Cone Days, Double Stuff Racing League, Skillastics (fitness contest) every Thursday, Ice Cream Sun-Day, Crazy Hat Day, Team Spirit Day, etc. Optional FUN bus trips and different entertainers each week!
