STEM Enrichment

STEM
STEM Enrichment brings science, technology, engineering, and math to life through engaging, activity-based lessons. Students will spark curiosity and creativity as they explore a wide variety of hands-on STEM activities, including exciting experiments, problem-solving challenges, and interactive projects. Each week, participants will create, test, and discover while working cooperatively with peers in a fun and supportive environment.

Class Details

STEM Enrichment: Physics, Simple Machines & Mini Robots
Students will explore the properties of physics and the world around us. Students will work in teams to record data and draw conclusions. As well as building some keepsake mini robots (everyone's favorites)!

Date: Tuesdays, December 1 - January 12 (No Class 12/29)
Grades: 3 - 5
Time: 3:30 pm- 4:45 pm
Location: GOES
Fee: $150
Minimum: 5
Registration Closes: November 23

Notes: Please have students dress in comfortable clothing that could get messy, and pack a snack for the extended day. Students will need to update dismissal in the app each week for the office.
Dismissal: The office will dismiss students to Lily, who will take attendance and walk them to the STEM classroom.
During class: For safety reasons, parents will not be permitted to enter the building while STEM is in session, as the school doors will remain locked.
Pickup: At the end of the session, Lily will escort all students to the front door for parent pickup

STEM Enrichment: Animal Explorers & Simple Machines
Students will safely participate in and observe experiments and reactions. Learn the scientific method. Students will work in teams and individually. Students will make predictions, record data and results, draw conclusions, and discover through experimentation.

Date: Wednesdays, December 9 - January 27 (No Class 12/23, 12/30)
Grades: K - 2
Time: 3:30 pm- 4:45 pm
Location: QFS
Fee: $100
Minimum: 6
Registration: November 23
