STEM Enrichment

STEM
STEM Enrichment brings science, technology, engineering, and math to life through engaging, activity-based lessons. Students will spark curiosity and creativity as they explore a wide variety of hands-on STEM activities, including exciting experiments, problem-solving challenges, and interactive projects. Each week, participants will create, test, and discover while working cooperatively with peers in a fun and supportive environment.

Class Details

STEM Enrichment: Robotics and Architecture
Students will work independently and in teams. They will be learning and implementing many scientific principles and methods into their work and being able to take projects home on a weekly basis.

Date: Tuesdays, September 15 - October 13
Grades: 3 - 5
Time: 3:30 pm- 4:45 pm
Location: GOES
Fee: $120
Minimum: 5

Notes: Please have students dress in comfortable clothing that could get messy, and pack a snack for the extended day. Students will need to update dismissal in the app each week for the office.
Dismissal: The office will dismiss students to Lily, who will take attendance and walk them to the STEM classroom.
During class: For safety reasons, parents will not be permitted to enter the building while STEM is in session, as the school doors will remain locked.
Pickup: At the end of the session, Lily will escort all students to the front door for parent pickup

STEM Enrichment: Animal Explorers & Simple Machines
Students will be discovering all kinds of animals, exploring their ecosystems & habitats, and many professions that work with animals. Then we will engage hands on with simple machines, physical properties in science, and the scientific method, in an elementary approach! There will be activities, experiments, or take home projects each week.

Date: Wednesdays, September 16 - October 14
Grades: K - 2
Time: 3:30 pm- 4:45 pm
Location: QFS
